Climate chance is real – UNIT 4

I come from a rather worrying summer, possibly the worst I've experienced so far due to climate change.
Europe has had to go through an intense period of abnormal temperatures, which required a large amount of energy due to the use of air conditioners.
This makes the situation even worse, and as if that were not enough, in Italy there was a very strong drought, not having rained for several months, destroying various crops and alarming the country.
Another serious problem is the outbreak of the war between Ukraine and Russia, which brings several European countries in trouble due to the energy increase thanks to the closure of the Russian gas transport.
The consequences after this series of unpleasant events, have opened a debate regarding energy autonomy, and above all that this expenditure of energy was at least ecological.
It has recently emerged, after various studies, that Italian soil is first as a country in Europe for natural resources capable of producing energy, even if only 18% of these resources are used.

Beyond natural resources, there are various proposals that can be considered to generate clean energy, such as using our steps to generate electricity. In fact this can be used immediately or stored in batteries.
These would be tiles capable of being crushed by footsteps and storing usable energy. The tiles would also be made from recycled materials. Positioned in the most crowded urban centers would help to generate continuous energy every day.
PAVAGEN SYSTEMS

Another great idea would be to use the wind generator on the highway from trucks and cars. In fact, by positioning wind turbines with a vertical axis, the air would be exploited to give energy to the street lamps. It would therefore be possible to considerably reduce the impact of generating energy to illuminate our cities.
